Here's my newest little sculpt, Baby Kara. She was fun to make and I tried some new expressions with her. The clothes are still taking some time to create, but I'm getting a little better at it, I hope. It helps that I've had my beautiful, loving, cuddly grandchildren here for the past two weeks (not to mention my wonderful children and their spouses!) It's been such a delightful summer. Makes the hard, rewarding work of teaching easier to return to when there's a completely different time available to enjoy family, to do something creative, and to have time to be out here surrounded by such beauty. Enjoy the pictures of little Kara. She was inspired, as always, by the new little ones in my own life.

Oh, what fun I'm having this summer, visiting with little grandkids, sculpting to my heart's content, and just generally breathing deeply. In my new sculpts, I have been playing with new expressions, making handmade eyes, learning some new sewing techniques, and figuring out how to work the new Auctiva/ebay stuff. Here's my new little "Happy Jack". I had fun with him!

He is only 51/2" with his legs curled up. He'd be about 61/2" stretched out.
